Sustainable Health Stewards

Sustainable Health Stewards has the mission of training people to deliver Institute services such as workshops. This program has two objectives: first, to expand the Institute’s capacity in delivering its services and, second, support and to enhance its ability to communicate effectively with specific communities.
Delivering services has an inherent capacity limitation: people trained to deliver the service have to be available. But in addition to overcoming an operational problem, this program serves to further our objective of joining general, evidence-based science with local, experience-based knowledge. This program does not simply train people in the Institute’s practices. As with Local Chapters, the Institute learns from its Stewards.
The activities of this program consist of developing and conducting courses on the principles and practice of sustainable health. It also includes support services for Sustainable Health Stewards.
